How We Helped Red Bull Lift In-Store Compliance by +7% and Grow Category Sales by +5%

Objective

Red Bull's products move fast, so out-of-stocks were a constant battle. A recent range review fixed the underlying issue, but compliance in store was patchy. The field team needed to know exactly which stores to prioritise and what to look for. The work needed to answer:

  • Which stores are dragging compliance?
  • What do field reps need to fix when they walk in?
  • Can we make field visits faster and more valuable at the same time?

What We Did

  • Gave the field team visibility of approved planograms, with permission from the retailer
  • Generated store-level lists so reps could target the visits that would move the numbers
  • Replaced shelf-by-shelf checking with planogram-led intervention

Results

  • +7% YoY in-store compliance
  • +5% category sales (12 weeks pre vs post)

The Impact

Field time stopped being absorbed by hunting down store managers and shelf-checking blind. Reps walked in knowing exactly what to fix, which lifted both compliance and category sales. The same work used to take weeks and often got deprioritised. Now it takes minutes.
